academic Research/interests

Most of my research focuses on effective pedagogy. I have presented my findings over 35 times in the last decade. I am also interested in Southern Cultural History 1875 to 1930, primarily focusing on Southern Masculinity, Men's Culture and Southern Social History.

Why I teach

I teach because I am intellectually "reborn" in every interaction with my students both in and out of the classroom.

The work having the biggest impact on me is Thomas Aquinas's Summa Theologica.
