Vermont State Board of Nursing Program Approval
The RN-BSN track was initiated in 1991 and is approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing.  The new, four-year, pre-licensure BSN program, opened in Fall 2013, received Provisional (Preliminary) approval in March 2013 from the Vermont State Board of Nursing. Per Vermont Board of Nursing Administrative Rules, application for full program approval will be completed after graduation in May 2016 of the first Pre-Licensure BSN track students. Accreditation
The baccalaureate nursing program at Southern Vermont College, including the Pre-Licensure BSN track and the RN-BSN track, is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE accreditation was effective October 29, 2014.
